Maya Angelou Nievares is a Filipino filmmaker whose work explores the quiet, in-between spaces of memory, identity, and becoming. She produced A Short Film About Growing Up (2019), Wala (2022), and the award-winning Kaloy-i (2017), which received Best Guerrilla Filmmaking Workshop Film at the 15th Mindanao Film Festival.
