This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains how Flixxe may collect, use, and disclose, or otherwise process personal information when you use our online social network service (“Social Networking”), the Flixxe’s website located at Flixxe.com (the “Site”), or our mobile application (the “App” and together with the Site and Social Networking, collectively, the “Platform”).
By using and accessing our Platform, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy and acknowledge and agree to the terms of the accompanying Terms of Service
Information We May Collect
“Personal information” means information that is linked or could reasonably be linked to an identified or identifiable individual.
Information you provide to us
We collect personal information when you interact with us or use our Platform. Personal information is any piece of information that can identify you. Some personal information may identify you directly, such as your name or email address. When you participate in our messaging, posting, and other interactive features, we may collect content, communications, images, files, and other information you provide when you use our Platform (collectively, “User Content”). The exact type of personal information we collect will depend on how you interact with us.

Information collected automatically
We and our vendors may use technology such as cookies on our Platform, which automatically or passively collect information. For example, we may use cookies to recognize a visitor’s device or record a visitor’s preferences. We, or other parties, may collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different devices and online properties when you use the Platform. This information may include IP addresses, device identifiers, browser characteristics, operating system details, internet service provider details, language preferences, and details about your use of the Platform (referring URLs, time and length of visits, and pages viewed). We use the technology to monitor and analyze usage trends on our Platform. Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default, but you usually can change your browser settings to remove or reject cookies. Please note that blocking certain cookies when using the Site may prevent you from using some of the features on our Site. Additionally, by disabling cookies, you may invalidate opt outs that use cookies to recognize devices that have opted out. Some web browsers may have settings that allow you to transmit “Do Not Track” signals. Like many websites, our Site is not designed to respond to “Do Not Track” signals received from browsers.
Information collected from your device
When you download or access our App, we may (depending on your device or permission settings) have access to certain information from your device, such as:
- Usage Information. We may collect certain information from and about the devices and browsers you use that integrate with our Platform (e.g., IP address, device type, and operating system) and certain usage information about your interaction with our Platform, including pages viewed, access times, user, and content interactions, and to understand the App or Platform performance when you use it.
- Device Information. We may collect your device identifier (including your device’s advertising identifier) when you use our Platform to provide you a better experience. For example, we may use your device identifier to recognize your mobile device.
- Location Information. We may also collect your location information when you consent to the collection of location information via your device. We may also infer your location from your IP address, Bluetooth connection or other device identifier. For example, this may include the precise or approximate location of your device when you use the App.
Information collected by other parties and via features
We may engage vendors to provide certain interactive features when you access our Platform. By using these interactive features, you understand that we may retain the information that you submit through these features, and that our vendors may process the information obtained through the feature to provide the service on our behalf. For example, we may offer an interactive search engine through our Platform to assist you with finding content and other aspects of our Platform. Our interactive search engine may be powered by artificial intelligence, machine learning tools, or similar technology.
The Platform may offer you the option to send a communication to a friend. If you submit the personal information of another person, you represent that you have obtained the authorization from that person to submit such personal information to us. The friend’s personal information you provide (e.g., name, email address) will be used to facilitate the communication. Your contact information and message may be included in the communication.
Use of Your Personal Information
We may use your personal information to:
- communicate with you, including to respond to your questions and requests;
- personalize our content, including to make recommendations to you about our Platform, to tailor certain content for you, and to offer location-based personalization based on your interactions with our Platform;
- market and advertise our products, including to send you news, updates, special offers and promotions, and targeted advertising;
- monitor and analyze trends, usage, and the activities of users of our Platform to better understand how our users access and use our Platform, respond to user preferences, to improve our Platform, and for other research purposes;

- protect our rights, property, or safety and that of our users and our confidential and proprietary information;

We will store information collected via our Platform for no longer than is necessary for the performance of our obligations or to achieve the purposes for which the information was collected, or as may be permitted under applicable law.
Disclosure of Your Personal Information
We may disclose the information we have about you with our affiliates, business partners, vendors, and other parties. For example, we may use vendors to administer activities on our behalf, such as sending emails. To the extent that we grant other parties access to information collected via your mobile device, they are expected to follow privacy practices no less protective than our practices to the extent allowed by applicable law. In addition, we may disclose personal information: (i) in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business assets (e.g., further to a merger, liquidation, reorganization, or any other business transaction, including negotiations of such transactions); (ii) as permitted or required by federal and state laws and regulations; (ii) when we determine that disclosure is necessary or appropriate to comply with law or legal process or to protect legal rights, property, or safety; (iv) to enforce our policies, terms, and agreements; or (v) with your consent or at your direction.
Security of Your Personal Information
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Nevertheless, transmission via the Internet and online digital storage are not completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information collected through our Platform.
Third Party Links and Social Features
Our Platform may contain links to, or features, including social networks operated by unaffiliated parties. This Privacy Policy applies only to our Platform. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, advertising, products, or content of third-party websites that Flixxe does not control. You should review the terms, policies, and settings of these online platforms to learn more about their data practices.
The Platform may permit you to interact with online platforms operated by social networks. For example, you may be able to “like” Flixxe on another website or “share” content from the Platform to other websites (a “Social Feature”). If you choose to “like” or “share” content using a Social Feature, that information may be publicly displayed, and the other party may have access to certain information about you and your use of the Platform. Similarly, if you interact with us through a Social Feature, we may have access to information about you (for example, if you “follow” our page on another website). Please note that if you mention Flixxe or our Platform in your post on another platform, that platform may allow us to publish your post on the Platform.
You may also choose to use Social Features on our Platform, such as by logging into our Platform with your username and password for another website (for example, using Facebook Connect). Use of such a feature may allow us to collect (or the other party to share) information about you, including your personal information.
Please note that any information, including personal information, that you post on any public areas of our Platform, such as reviews, comments, and photos, may be available to, and searchable by, all other users.
Sweepstakes, Contests, and Similar Promotions
We may offer sweepstakes, contests, giveaways and other promotions (each, a “Promotion”), including Promotions jointly sponsored or offered by third parties, which may require submitting personal information. If you voluntarily choose to enter a Promotion, your information, including personal information, may be disclosed to Flixxe, affiliates, co-sponsors, and third parties, including for administrative purposes and as required by law (e.g., on a winners list). By entering in any Promotion, you are agreeing to the official rules that govern that Promotion, which may include consent to additional or differing data practices from those contained in this Privacy Policy. Insofar as the terms applicable to a particular Promotion conflict with this Privacy Policy, the terms applicable to the Promotion shall control. Please review those rules carefully.
Your Choices
You may have certain controls regarding our communication. If you wish to unsubscribe to promotional email communications we send to you, click the “unsubscribe” link in any of our emails. Opting out of such promotional communications will not affect our administrative or transactional emails to you.
Accessing, reviewing & changing your personal information
If you have a registered account with Flixxe and would like to update your contact information, you may do so by signing in to your account.
App and platform choices
You can stop all future collection of data by uninstalling the App on your device. Also, you may be able to exercise specific privacy choices, such as enabling or disabling certain features (e.g., location-based services or push notifications), by adjusting the permissions on your device. Changing the permissions on your device may limit the functionality of features on the App. Please note that uninstalling the App or changing your permissions may not affect your user account or any information we previously collected via the Platform.
Children’s Privacy
The Platform are not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, we will delete such information in accordance with applicable law.
Information for Visitors Located Outside the United States
Flixxe is located in the United States. Data collected from you will be stored and processed in the United States or in other jurisdictions. Please be aware that the data protection laws and regulations that apply to your information transferred to the United States or other countries may be different from the laws in your country of residence.
By using our Platform, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to our facilities and disclosed to certain parties as described in this Privacy Policy.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is subject to change at our discretion. We will indicate changes to the Privacy Policy by updating the Effective Date at the beginning of this Privacy Policy. Your continued use of the Platform after an update to this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of the changes.
