Giuliano Robert is a pioneering Deaf filmmaker from Brazil and the founder of Cultura Surda Produções. He holds a degree in Photography from Centro Europeu and is a photographer for the Mostra Surda de Teatro at the Festival de Curitiba, one of the country’s leading cultural events. He directed the short films “Which Language Do You Laugh In?” and “The Search of Self and Silence,” screened on Canal Brasil and Prime Video. He has worked on feature films as a still photographer on “House of Izabel,” assistant director on “Not Every Love Story Ends in Death,” and co-writer of “Sticky: The Musical of Gestures.” He works in audiovisual accessibility in partnership with companies and broadcasters such as Urca Filmes, Beija Flor Filmes, TV Globo, Canal Futura, and Netflix. He is currently developing his first feature-length film.
