Carlos Carlos Jr. is a film and television director whose work explores intimacy, desire, and the quiet complexity of devotion. His short Renacimiento (2023), draws from his own mother’s journey across the U.S.–Mexico border to give birth—an intimate portrait of sacrifice and abandonment. Carlos holds an MFA in Film Directing from Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts and was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. He lives and works in Los Angeles.
