In his second term, Donald Trump is demanding what he promised: greater involvement from Europe. The tone is becoming harsher. Open conflict is brewing in the Oval Office with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy. Many are asking: Are the US still our allies? Caught between flattery and assertiveness, Europe, the EU, and NATO are searching for a new strategy for dealing with Mr. President, because Trump's stance is crucial. He portrays himself as a peacemaker, for example, in the Middle East. But the situation in Ukraine remains complicated. In November, Trump surprised the world with a "peace plan." Can he make peace? And what does "peace" even mean? How can Europe assert itself in this new world order?
