At first, the atom served military purposes, but gradually began to be used for civilian needs. In the second series, viewers will learn how Russian scientists made discoveries in nuclear energy, how this field developed in the Soviet Union and how it is developing in Russia to this day: from the first nuclear power plant in the world (Obninsk NPP), to the unique floating nuclear power plant "Akademik Lomonosov". Let's also consider thermonuclear fusion and its potential.
