LIN works as a maid servant for the CHEUNGS. Her Master CHOR wants to adopt her as his concubine as she is so charming. He usually peeps at LIN when she is bathing. On the other hand, another maid servant HEUNG is jealous of LIN and always backbites her in front of their mistress KAM. KAM is discontented and hates LIN. MU TAI LONG admires LIN and sends WONG to the CHEUNGS to ask for the marriage. KAM agrees but LIN refuses and CHOR is not happy with the marriage. CHOR goes to LONG's house and makes him to accept his plan. LIN is deceived. After the marriage banquet, LIN is sent to the bedroom and LONG leaves. CHOR replaces LONG and rapes LIN. LONG can do nothing but weep outside the bedroom.

Series info

Based on the famous Chinese novel “Kam Ping Mui”, “Gentle Reflections” is about the love and hatred of three girls, Lin (Irene Wan), Yi (Kennix Kwok) and Mui (Yeung Ling). Lin was forced to marry Long (Liu Kai Chi). She was miserableand begged Chung (Tsang Wai Kuen) to take her away, but he refused. Lin was desperate and when Hing (Sinn Lap Man) came and seduced her, she was more than willing to kill Long and marry Hing. Yi loved Chung but due to misunderstanding, she married Hui instead. Hing lusted for Yi and killed Hui to get his hands on her. Yi then pretended to marry Hing in order to kill him for revenge. Lin and Yi competed for Hing’s attention and Lin’s maid Mui was involved…
