Màiri reluctantly returns home for a funeral and is quickly reminded of the reasons why she left: the local gossips and a face from the past she hoped not to see. However, whilst on the island with her grandmother Peggy and cousin Iain, Màiri realises what was so long overdue, time together. What she is unaware of however, is someone's plans to keep her there.

Series info

Mairi MacDonald returns home to the island which she deserted eight years ago. She left to escape her family, the place, its claustrophobia and its customs". Mairi initially returns for the funeral of a family friend.
