Martin is invited by Werner, a distant relative he barely knows, to spend a few days at his home in Hamburg. Martin agrees and decides to take his camera with him, but when he arrives in Hamburg, Werner is not there. Suddenly, Martin finds himself alone in an unfamiliar city, camera in hand. What could have been a travel diary then becomes a spy movie.
