A young Tommy Körberg rises from a stormy childhood to pop stardom in late 1960s Sweden, wins Melodifestivalen with “Judy min vän,” transitions into the progg scene, and achieves major success with Chess and later “Stad i ljus,” while battling loneliness, paranoia, cocaine addiction, and imprisonment in his search for validation.
