January: Meet the Solomons family from Harfield, Cape Town. Cheryl Solomons is a French cuisine chef, but has to share a kitchen with Neesha, her mother-in-law who specializes in dishes such as breyani, samoosas and boober. In the middle of all the undercurrents is Riyaan, Cheryl's husband and Neesha's son.

Neesha cooks a mean Kaapse Malei dish and her daughter-in-law Cheryl is not bad at making food either. But if you think they'll get along, you've got another thing coming.
