Pak Long Akhbar is a shaman who helps the villagers with healing using his spiritual knowledge. His son, Hasbullah, who returns after studying in Egypt, wants his father to stop practicing such superstitious rituals, but his father opposes him, believing that his knowledge is a gift. However, this knowledge eventually backfires, leading to Akhbar becoming possessed.
