Shaken by degenerative dementia, Dolores fades away as her memory dissipates over time. Hoping to recover memories of the past, her sons Mário and Samuel move to the island of Madeira, trying to provide better living conditions for their mother. However, the days become long and challenging as Dolores becomes increasingly dependent.
