On a quiet night, a bank manager is murdered. Julie, a high-profile escort with roots in Kolkata’s red-light district, announces a school for sex workers’ children, through her NGO. Now the mistress of Sanjay Mitra—a politician caught in a corruption scandal involving cooperative banks—Julie watches his party unravel as CBI officers Soumik Sen and Joginder crack down. Among the arrested is Kalyan Basu, Soumik’s close associate. As investors pull out, Julie brokers a deal with cricket team owner Mohit Sidhwani. Her world shatters with the suicide of a young prostitute, Rinku.

Julie follows the story of a young girl with a passion for singing, who after being sold to a brothel under tragic circumstances, paves her path as a prostitute with a golden voice whose future in politics brings turmoil into a corrupt political system.
